Well Made Vintage was started by Seth Pope and Blake Edwards on January 1st, 2023. They were two Ball State students who became friends and shared a love for vintage clothing.

We met and became good friends freshman year of college. Then sophomore year, we were both separately selling vintage clothing in person to our friends and online. Blake had been selling for years, whereas Seth had really just started. One day we decided to host a pop up shop in a friend’s backyard and were shocked by the demand for our stuff. We continued to host these markets and invited some friends to join us and these events just kept growing. We did these events anywhere we could, from friends houses and garages, to fraternities and the Village Promenade’s Warehouse. We continued hosting these events through graduation and even a couple after we graduated.

Fast forwarding to about a year after we graduated,  Seth was teaching 3rd grade at Southview Elementary and Blake was still doing his thing flipping clothes. We decided that we wanted to test out how a store could do in Muncie. We rented out a building off Wheeling and were seeing if we could sustain a store. We were once again surprised by the demand for our stuff and saw the potential for us having a physical store. We then saw a for lease sign on a building one night while walking through the village. We called and checked out the spot and knew this was the place for our business. We decided to uproot our business after being open for a month and a half and moved everything to our current home in the village.

Well Made Vintage opened up in our current location March 1st, 2023 and since has been offering our customers the best selection of vintage clothing in town.
